Fees and Disbursements

Hourly Billing:

Services are billed at $200.00 per hour. Please note this excludes disbursements which will be itemized separately. All fees and disbursements are additionally subject to applicable taxes.

Customized Fee Arrangements:

Understanding that each legal matter is unique, we tailor our fee structures to align with the specific nuances and complexities of your case. This personalized strategy ensures that our services meet your precise needs and expectations.

Initial Consultation Charges:

• Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board matters: A flat fee of $350.00 + HST is applicable.

• Criminal Summary Offences and Highway Traffic Offences: Complimentary initial consultations are offered.

• Client Identification and Communication: Accurate identification and contact information are essential for establishing effective communication. Rest assured, all personal information provided to our office remains confidential and is strictly used for legal purposes.

• Updating Contact Details: It is incumbent upon clients to promptly inform our office of any changes to their contact details to ensure seamless communication.

• Fee Structure and Legal Outcomes: Our fees for consultations or representation are based on the services provided and are independent of the legal outcomes. Advice rendered is contingent upon the information and documents available at the time of consultation, backed by years of professional experience and continual training.

• Policy on Contingency Fees: Our practice does not engage in contingency fee agreements. Fees are charged based on the predefined services rendered and are not influenced by the results of the case.

• Engagement Confirmation: Representation is contingent upon the receipt of written confirmation and a retainer agreement from the client, guaranteeing a mutual understanding of the scope and terms of our services.

• ClientResponsibilities: Clients are responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with our office regarding their legal matters and confirming our representation.
